5 Image Quotes to Motivate

Hello Everyone, 🙂

I often find myself wanting to motivate myself to keep on going everyday on accomplishing my goals. But I am honestly not perfect and tend to fall into a slump of laziness. Whenever I feel like that I always like to go online and look at picture quotes, and just reading the quote and looking at the picture helps me get back to being motivated in a positive way. I always try to save picture quotes that I find online, that I like and save them for later viewing and reflecting. I hope you find these quotes motivating as I do as well. I know that this July is going to be full of new challenges and adventures for me. I like to keep picture quotes by my side whenever I feel stuck, unmotivated, or feeling doubtful about something I want to do.

Life Changes

Hello Everyone:)!

There are people that say that change is good

That change let’s us grow, let’s us discover who we are.

I want to believe that change is good

That change is something that I need to become a better person,

but change right now seems to me so big of a thing to carry right now,

I feel change is coming to me so fast, so unexpectedly

I don’t want to take change,but I have to.

Change is coming

I can feel it in my bones

Everywhere around me is changing

so fast, so soon will I feel different

So soon will change come to me

I cannot run away from it

I have to accept change into my life.

Have you ever felt Invisible?

Hello Everyone :)!

Have you ever felt invisible?
I have, invisible is not able to be seen. I have felt invisible many times, feeling that you are invisible hurts when others do not want to reach out to you, and talk to you.
I try many times to take off this feeling of being invisible on the inside and outside. Somehow invisible does not want to leave me.
I know that feeling invisible is not okay, it is something that I should fight and destroy; it is difficult to ignore the idea of wanting to be invisible because it has helped me escape my most embarrassing moments.

“I wish I could be invisible, I wish I could escape my day-to-day problems, but I know that is not possible. Being invisible is just a fantasy that we all wish we had.”

“I’ve rather drown, and be invisible than try to please you by being someone I really am not.”

“I used to be the girl that nobody noticed. Until you magically showed up, and somehow it scares me so much that you are trying to notice me.”

My Ten favorite Quotes for January 2015

Hello Everyone :-)!

Here are my ten favorite quotes for this month that I want to share with you. Hope they serve as motivation like they do for me.

1. Laughing in Adversity:
“Laughing does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it ceases to be serious when people laugh.”    -George Bernard Shaw

We all want solutions to our problems quickly, but in truth our problems no matter how big or small they are, laughing will help us cope during our toughest times, it will make our problems less scary to bear.

2. Talking instead of Doing:
“A meowing cat catches no mice.”
-Yiddish Proverb

I will make sure that I am actually doing things, not just talking about doing them. This is something I need to work on since sometimes I have the tendency to talk to others about my plans, but it takes me a long time to make them happen, or they do not.

3. Embrace Quietness:
“Never be afraid to sit awhile and think.” -Lorraine Hansbury

Quiet is a luxury that costs me nothing. I can take a few moments each day to simply sit and think, without the need of any foreground or background noise. I like to feel the beauty of quietness around me. I like to go on a quiet and lonely place, just lay down, close my eyes and relax.

4. Spiritual Happiness:
“I never thought that a’lot of money or fine clothes-the finer things of life-would make you happy. My concept of happiness is to be filled in a spiritual sense.”
        -Coretta Scott King
I like my clothes and money is nice. But I want to recognize and encourage my spiritual side. This may mean attending a place of worship, or it may mean setting aside a few moments to reflect on your life.

5. Dancing Everyday:
“Everyday brings a chance for you to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes, and dance.”
         -Oprah Winfrey
Dancing is what brings a smile on my feet, and on my face. Dance by yourself or better yet, dance with someone else. I might not be a professional dancer, but life is too short to worry about how silly you look, embrace silliness for a while.

6. Hope is Priceless:
“Hope costs nothing.”
I have come to realize through my own challenges and tribulations, that it is important to have enormous amount of hope. Right now more than ever, as we grow older each day and life gets tough, we all have to keep holding on to hope tightly. All the goals we want to achieve have to be done with hope.

7. Self-Reliance is doing things on our own:
“Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice.”
          -Henry Ford
Doing things on our own, instead of letting others do them. It is more satisfying when we do certain things that we know we can do, on our own.

8. Discover New Landscapes:
“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
           -Marcel Proust
Try to see the city that you live in with brand new eyes. Everyday we take many things for granted, that we often do not see our surroundings or discover new places that our city has to offer. For fun, pretend you are a tourist, what would be interesting to see that you often take for granted.

9. Interests vs. Beliefs:
“One person with a belief is equal to a force of ninety-nine who have only interests.”
          -John Stuart Mill
When you have a strong belief and interest in something, you will do anything to make your goal happen no matter what other people tell you, or how much of a minority you are. Your willingness to go for it may serve as inspiration to others around you. Anything is possible if we truly believe.

10. Finding Inspiration:
“You can’t wait for inspiration. You have to go after it with a club.”
             -Jack London
As a writer, I am learning to not wait until inspiration strikes to me to actually write a story, poem, or article. It is important to seek inspiration while writing. Lacking inspiration is never the answer.

Self -Confidence is Important

Hello Everyone :-)!

I did not always have self-confidence. When I was younger I would often be told by my Aunt Carmen, and my Mom whenever they saw me walking outside with my head on the floor. They always ended up telling me if I had low self-confidence in myself, or if I was hiding something from them, scared I would always reply that I honestly was not hiding something away from them, and secondly, that I did not have a low self-esteem.

I later realized at 13 years old that I did not always have self-confidence in myself. I was always worrying about what my parents and other might think of me, constantly worrying if everyone around me will like me. I would sometimes exaggerate if someone did not like me. Not having self-confidence kept me away from taking risks and trying new things.

Today I am slowly learning to embrace myself in a positive way and learning to accept myself both on the inside and outside.

Having self-confidence will help us get to where we want to go and will help us achieve our goals and dreams in life.

“Never bend your head. Hold it high. Look the world straight in the eye.”      -Helen Keller

“Perhaps I am stronger than I think.”    -Thomas Merton

Thanksgiving Quotes

Hello Everyone:)!

Now that Thanksgiving is around the corner and we are all starting to get busy with making the Thanksgiving cooking preparations and creating your Black Friday shopping list like how I was doing a few minutes ago, it is also important that we do not forget the true meaning of Thanksgiving Day and how we have to give thanks to God for giving us all the wonderful blessings we have in our life.

Me I am blessed with having a caring and wonderful family that loves me no matter what trials we have had in the past or what challenges we will face in the future I know that we will be there for each other through good and bad times. I am also blessed this year to have made the decision of continuing with my college education as I know how tough it has been for me not to give up on continuing. I am really blessed to have discovered my love for writing and have realized that it is something I should not give up because I really like creating stories as they always are born inside my mind. There is a lot to be thankful for in this world.

To take the Advice, Or Not

Hello Everyone,

As a young adult now still growing up and still learning, it is at times tough for me to listen to others words of wisdom especially when it involves my parents. I know that being twenty-three years old means that i no longer have to obey by my parents rules and that now I am free to do whatever I want.

But just because I am twenty-three does not mean that I no longer have to follow anyone’s advice. I sometimes tend to ignore an advice that I at first do not realize how that advice could have helped me until much later, when I either have already done something stupid to make the problem more worse than how it already was, or did not take the chance to try that advice.

“Good advice is always certain to be ignored, but that’s no reason not to give it.”
            -Agatha Christie

How many of you have ever ignored a really good advice that someone from your family, or even a friend have told you to do?

Without being bossy or unpleasant, I will give advice when I think it is important-even if I risk irritating someone like me.

This is true for me, I have realized that I have been countless of times like this with my younger sister, Andrea where she gets really annoyed at me when I keep on giving her the same advice many times. I have been annoyed also at my parents whenever they would give me advice repeatedly that there were times when I wished that they were not so annoying and preachful. But I know that the people that care for me the most are always going to be like that to me.

So a word of wisdom: please do not ignore an advice from someone you know deeply cares for you.

Helping Words

Hello Everyone,

Whenever I see someone in my family or some of my friends having trouble I often think what would be the right words to tell them. When I see someone sad or angry about something that is either bothering them or making them feel low, it makes me feel helpless for not knowing what to tell them to make them feel better.
“A helping word to one in trouble is often like a switch in a railroad track… an inch between a wreck and smooth, rolling prosperity.”
           -Henry Ward Beecher

Some simple and positive words can often help us out of the darkness we were in.

It’s important for me to show, with words and deeds, that I care when someone close to me needs help.

This is something that I will always remember because I believe that words have the power to make us feel better and helps us get back up when we fall. Me whenever I feel really down or discouraged I always like to just listen to music like Taylor Swift or some fun and positive indie music, lately I have been liking bright pop indie music 🙂 music always helps get better once again.
